Beat-Herder 2019 Review
Beat-Herder is wild, wacky and proud of it. Although incredible music is on offer, the renowned northern festival offers an immersive experience, In mother Beat-herders own words “built on unconditional love and the tireless efforts of many. From plants grown from seed, hand painted signs and flags, restoring old cars, to homemade hymn books; the detail and creativity is endless”. Where head-thumping tunes are just one of the many elements on offer in this intimate but big enough to loose yourself festival, there is literally something for everyone and every age group. being that we have traveled the 5+ hours to Boomtown for years and a festival we hold in the highest regards, we can are so very happy to have found Beat-herder just 40 miles away from us just as crazy wacky and wild truly another place where you can be what you want without judgement from anyone. Cardboard Eco Tents for Festivals
Each year its a fight to get people not to leave behind their rubbish and especially their tents at festivals. Some festivals are managing to reduce this waste but not enough. Its suggested that 250,000 plastic tents are left behind at festivals in the UK alone. And these tents are almost impossible to recycle. One plastic tent left behind at a festival is worth 250 plastic cups or 8000 straws. So those awesome people who try all year round to not use so much plastic, be plastic free, or Eco friendly have ruined that with that one action. Cardboard Eco Tents for Festivals have been around for some time now at least 5 years maybe more but they haven’t caught on yet – Why is this? Would you sleep in a cardboard box? You might be thinking that its not going to work very well sleeping in a cardboard box, but of course these cardboard tents are not just any old cardboard box. For starters they are 100% recyclable and made for a very think cardboard which ward of rain for several days. Most tents are big enough to take two people, and even have a window and a printed […]

Boomtown Chapter 10 Fstvl Visit
It’s been a couple of weeks since we left Boomtown and I’m still not 100% on how to describe the Festival, I will say it’s the most immersive and entertaining festival I have visited. I think the most common term I heard all weekend was “This place is West” in the best possible way! And I know we didn’t get a chance to see everything but we also know we will be back! Boomtown is just too big and has so much to offer everyone to be able to take everything in, in one chapter. So for everyone who can only manage to read a few lines of a post looking for a review, ours for Boomtown fair would be 10 out of 10! Every festival goer must go, really! I will expand on why below for those who don’t mind a little reading. Pro’s & Con’s Pro’s Well staffed with friendly security, helpful support staff. Well planned out 10am – 4am always something going on. Spoilt for choice with food, all priced reasonably. (some 24 hours) Once through the main gates no more security checks. (Take your own drinks to stages) 25 main stages and over 80 street venues. […]
